Stadium Improvements at Auburn Enlarged City School District
Full scope construction management services including pre-construction, construction, and closeout services for the $2.8 million Auburn Junior High School and Holland Stadium improvements. The project included extensive demolition of the existing Holland Stadium sod field, with the removal of the existing sod, topsoil and subgrade to prepare for the installation of new drainage, subbase and stone base for a new shock pad and artificial turf field. Field improvements include new football goal posts with nets, scoreboard, lighting upgrades, and a new walking track. Around the stadium, sidewalk and entrance drives were repaved and stadium stairs were refurbished. Renovations to the existing stadium concrete structure and bleacher sections were completed. New fencing and benches were installed. The Holland Stadium improvements will give the district’s physical education and athletic departments the opportunity to hold many classes and sporting events on site throughout the year.
C&S analyzed the complex phasing and sequencing needs of the project, and worked closely with the owner and architect to reduce the overall project timeline to assure the district would be able to start their fall sports schedule on the new turf field.
