Vehicular and Equipment Fueling Facilities

C&S completed a comprehensive project to enhance fuel facilities at Detroit Metro Airport and Willow Run Airport. This project involved the creation of a new fuel facility at Building 703 and upgrades to existing facilities at Buildings 802 and 2614. The new facility at Building 703 was designed with future expansion in mind and includes an underground 20,000-gallon diesel tank and an underground 12,000-gallon unleaded tank, all housed under a new canopy equipped with advanced security and lighting systems. The layout was meticulously planned using models of airport maintenance vehicle movements to optimize space and functionality. Additionally, a new utility enclosure and a robust drainage system were installed to support the facility’s operations.

The upgrades at Buildings 802 and 2614 included new fuel dispensers, monitoring sensors, and updated infrastructure to ensure efficient and safe operations. These facilities serve rental car agencies, airport staff, and equipment providers, ensuring seamless operations across the airport. A separate fuel management system was integrated into the project, enhancing overall efficiency and coordination.
