Employee Spotlight: Kimberly Sievert, M.A
We are so grateful for our incredible employees!
We proudly present our next Employee Spotlight!
Meet Kimberly, a dedicated and valued member of our administrative team. We’re so thankful for Kimberly’s positive attitude and willingness to go above and beyond in everything she does!
Where are you located?
I am located in the San Diego office.
What does a typical day at C&S look like?
Fabulous! I have the opportunity to not only perform the routine daily tasks associated with my role, I also get to network with vendors for event planning, strategize with teammates on special projects, and help make life easier for senior leadership.
What drew you to your career choice?
In a previous position that I held, my administrative abilities were recognized by the institution’s president, and I was tasked to participate in events and take on additional projects that were not traditionally associated with my role. She then became my mentor and helped to hone the tools I continue to use today. She gave me just the nudge I didn’t know I needed to position myself in the right places and excel my professional abilities.
I’ve learned that I really enjoy supporting leaders as the “behind the scenes” presence that makes impactful moments come to life for them and the teams they support. Moreover, making connections with talented people who appreciate one another and genuinely like what they do is a bonus.
What motives you?
I’m highly motivated by supporting those I work with to accomplish phenomenal things. I absolutely love being immersed in a team environment where synergistic collaboration propels the overall company forward.
What has been the proudest moment of your career?
The proudest accomplishment of my career (so far) has been to work with a fantastic leader and administrative team to establish what was an undefined culture at a university that was lacking identity. After some strategic rebranding and team building, the students, staff and faculty all benefited from the major changes and became proud to not only work at that institution, but to also represent it.
What are your favorite types of projects to work on?
My favorite types of projects to work on are those involving events. It’s wonderful to network, plan, and execute a successful event as well as rewarding to watch those involved enjoy being a part of something special.
Which of the C&S Companies Core Values Resonates the most with you?
The core value that resonates most with me would be Authenticity because C&S allows it’s employees to truly be themselves. It becomes so much easier to perform well in an environment when you don’t have to trade authenticity for acceptance (which also increases productivity)!
When not at work where can you be found having fun?
Some of my favorite weekend activities include baking (and eating), taking long walks to nowhere specific on sunny days, and finding new and magical ways to expand my wardrobe without breaking the bank.
What are some fun facts about you?
Fun facts about myself include an eclectic taste in music, a background in medical illustration (especially skeletons), a love for shopping, and an infallible sense of positivity.
What destinations are on your bucket list?
I would like to visit Italy for the vast landscape, historic architecture, beautiful art, and the amazing cuisine.
What is your favorite TV Show/Podcast/Movie/Author etc.?
My favorite TV series/author/podcast/movie is RuPaul’s Drag Race, Oprah Winfrey, Best Friends and The Nightmare Before Christmas.
We hope you have enjoyed our most recent employee spotlight as much as we enjoy sharing such amazing team members! Thank you, Kimberly so much for bringing incredible positivity, skill and dedication to your roles and motivating us all!
