C&S Employees Elected to Buffalo Niagara River Land Trust Board of Directors
C&S is proud to announce that two of our employees have been elected to positions on the Buffalo Niagara River Land Trust (BNRLT) Board of Directors. Daniel Riker, Environmental Service Group Manager, was elected to President, and Jesse Alt-Winzig, Environmental Engineer, was elected to the role of Treasurer. Their terms started on January 1st and will last for one year. Significant activities that will be led by the board of directors this year include the finalization of several environmental easements and the search for additional waterfront properties. Both Dan and Jesse have been involved with BNRLT for numerous years and are excited to further the organization’s mission.
The BNRLT was established in 2012 to enhance, preserve and protect shoreline properties located along the waterways of Western New York. Their mission is to acquire, remediate and manage potentially contaminated lands along Lake Erie, Lake Ontario, the Niagara River, and their tributaries for ecological protection and to improve public access to the water and waterfront. As a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) corporation, their efforts are intended to help create a truly connected system of public waterfront sites, by acquiring waterfront lands to link existing public sites, provide for new passive and active public access sites in underserved areas, and undertake environmental remediation and ecological restoration projects.
