C&S Announces Leadership Transition
C&S announces that Ronald Peckham, P.E., is promoted to president and chief operating officer of the C&S Companies, whose holdings include a number of individual corporations including C&S Engineers, C&S Design Build, C&S Technical Resources, C&S Operations, C&S Architects, Engineers & Land Surveyor, C&S Energy Solutions, and C&S Crane & Rigging. Orrin MacMurray, P.E., who served as president of the C&S Companies since 1984, will continue in the roles of chief executive officer and chairman of the board.
Peckham is now responsible for all day-to-day operations of the organization. He was previously executive vice president at C&S, having also served as vice president of transportation, overseeing the Airports, QuieterHome, and Transportation service groups. During his career, he has been involved with planning, engineering, project management and construction management projects for dozens of clients across the country. Under his leadership, C&S has expanded to become a nationwide service provider. Peckham has been with C&S for 24 years. He is a graduate of Clarkson University, ACEC’s Senior Executives Institute and is a professional engineer licensed in 24 states. He is very involved with a number of community groups and serves on the board of governors for the national Airport Consultants Council.
MacMurray has been with C&S since 1972. Under his direction, C&S has grown and diversified, found-ing many affiliate companies and becoming a nationally recognized provider of professional engineering, architecture, planning, environmental, and construction services. He recently completed a term as the national chairman of the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC). MacMurray joined C&S in 1972, after serving as an officer in the United States Corps of Engineers and participating in active-duty tours at Fort Drum, New York, and in Vietnam. He is a graduate of the Indiana Institute of Technology and served as an officer in the US Army Corps of Engineers. MacMurray sits on the boards of several community organizations.
John Trimble, P.E., is promoted to president of C&S Engineers, Inc., responsible for all strategic and tactical operations for eight diverse business units. He previously served as senior vice president and chief operating officer. Trimble has been with C&S for more than 15 years. His experience at the firm includes vice president overseeing facilities design services, manager of the industrial facilities design group, and project/operations manager for the firm’s construction arm. He is also current president of C&S’s construction management company, C&S Design Build, Inc. Trimble is a graduate of ACEC’s Senior Executives Institute. He earned his degree in civil, environmental, and structural engineering from Clarkson University and is a licensed professional engineer in eight states and the District of Columbia.
